Job Description:

This Interactive Art Director is responsible for concepting and developing art and design in the digital space. This position will play a significant role selecting and deploying planning and executing unique and original interactive creative projects. The projects sources include servicing both internal departments and external CUnet clients.

Principal Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Create innovative digital designs and development solutions in accordance with the requirements of the internal and external client and stakeholder
  • Apply knowledge about design elements, such as color and composition Artistic ability and creativity to all digital Cunet designs within regards to internal and external clients
  • Conceptualize, direct, and help execute creative output throughout all engagements
  • Meet with business partners to understand direct sales and marketing objectives, translate them into creative solutions and persuasively present those solutions to peers and executives
  • Maintain and Create a culture of feedback through clear and objective critiques of creative work during development
  • Be accountable for the quality of fast-turn, day-to-day creative assets as well as long-term strategic projects
  • Manage design projects from concept to completion and make adjustments for inevitable changes in timelines, deadlines, and project goals
  • Participate in the hiring and review process of creative staff
  • Conceptualizing practical uses for new technologies for the betterment of the CUnet verticals
  • Developing the look and feel of the websites, banners, emails, mobile interfaces and other technologies in the interactive space
  • Assisting the Creative Director and Project Manager in developing timelines
  • Interacting with clients to establish good professional relationships and effectively present and sell creative work
  • Assisting the Creative Director and Project Manager in ensuring creative deadlines are met

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design, interactive media or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of three years experience is required

Key Skills, Qualifications and Traits (E=Essential, P=Preferred):

  • E- Strong online portfolio with working examples
  • E- A passion for design, with an eye for detail, a good understanding of visual hierarchy and usability
  • E- Has a strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • E - Has a portfolio that demonstrates skills through recognizable online projects
  • E- Able to work independently in a deadline-sensitive and fast- paced environment
  • E - Maintain high level of design quality and strong work ethic
  • E - Possess a deep understanding of interactive design and the related tracks
  • E - Attention to detail and skill with typography, layout and color must be extremely high
  • E- Ability to multi-task and handle other duties as assigned
  • P- A working knowledge of JavaScript and the JQuery Library
  • P- A working knowledge of ActionScript 3.0
  • P- Proficiency with SiteCore and ASP.NET Environment
