Leveraging Career Motivations Assessments to increase lead generation and improve student retention.

Helping students make their decisions easier!

We understand that choosing a college, an area of study or a career path is a huge decision. Sometimes people need to take a closer look inside themselves to find out what they really are motivated to do. In an effort to provide individuals with a more informed and clearer understanding of their true career motivations, we have secured a strategic partnership with the established industry leader, Assessment.com. With over 40 years of development and success, the MAPP online assessment helps guide, motivate and empower people to achieve their greatest educational and career potential. As a result of technology integration, and extensive mapping of over 1,000 O*NET job descriptions to education programs, each career and job profile page on Assessment.com now includes a link to the educational institutions that currently offer the matching programs/degree concentrations for a person looking to pursue that career path. With well over 300,000 people a month taking the assessment, it's clearly a program you need to be a part of!

1) Get your school's programs into MAPP Match:

For a small annual fee and a fixed cost per lead, your school's programs will be added into the career matching engine and displayed to the user's whose desired career paths match your programs. Leads can be screened by geography (zip codes), age, as well as other criteria.

Are you looking for a way to increase lead flow and student satisfaction while also improving retention?

2) Custom Assessment Programs:

Customized assessment programs are available for schools looking to leverage a free Career Assessment as a tool to increase lead flow and to help identify your prospective student's personal career motivations.

Custom Career Assessment tests can be used to identify, explain and rank your prospective student's motivation level in relation to the programs available at your college. By utilizing the assessment you can better determine and understand which of your schools available programs and related career paths they are most motivated towards, suited and likely to enjoy. This can significantly increase the likelihood that they will stick with the program and your school through graduation resulting in fewer drops!

How does it work?:

We customize the assessment engine based on your existing programs and their associated career paths:

Step 1: Prospective students first register (lead creation)

Step 2: They take the assessment

Step 3: The detailed results are delivered

Tell me more about the actual assessment process:

The assessment consists of 71 triads of three statements. You must select the statement you MOST agree with and the statement you LEAST agree with, leaving one blank. This process takes approximately 25 minutes. The results are displayed immediately via three online appraisals, each relaying information in narrative, graphical and numeric format. The assessment is available in six languages; English, French, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.

Tested and Proven Validity:

The outcome of the Reliability Study has proven MAPP to be an accurate tool for identifying an individual's motivations. However, the real test is allowing each individual to self-validate the MAPP by taking the assessment and reviewing their own appraisal.

Through a Construct Validity Study with the MAPP and the Strong we have found the predicted occupational matches to range from .50-.92 with a median correlation of .67. This is particularly noteworthy.

All three of the reliability coefficients indicate that MAPP is highly consistent over time and shows great stability in test responses. While .50 is an acceptable reliability coefficient for true score variability, the MAPP instrument exceeds standards with coefficients of .95, .90, and .71.

3) Retention Identifier:

Once your school has utilized the assessment system on the front end of the enrollment process for a full cycle (from lead to enrollment and/or from lead to graduation) the intelligent matching/mapping engine can cross reference its database (based on the target pool of users who have taken the assessment) to help identify recognizable motivational traits exhibited by those target groups. All future users/results can then be compared to the targeted traits and the results displayed based on matches.
