Third Annual Higher Education Marketing Trends Benchmarking Survey Now Open

CUnet and LeadsCouncil partner on industry research to shed light on marketing and recruitment trends and best practices for 2012

March 21, 2012 – Paramus, NJ – CUnet and LeadsCouncil today announced the launch of the Third Annual Marketing Trends Benchmarking Survey for Higher Education. This short survey is open to professionals who are directly involved in marketing or recruitment at a higher education institution. It focuses on the challenges and priorities of higher education marketers, in an effort to establish benchmarks and best practices for the industry. In return for participation in the survey, all participants receive a copy of the 2012 Annual Marketing Trends Report for their own use.

“Our clients look to us to provide insight into how schools are dealing with the challenges of recruitment – from reaching students in an increasingly social-media driven world to brand reputation and compliance concerns,” said Todd Eicher, President and CEO of CUnet. “Over the past two years, our annual survey has become well-known in the industry as a valuable resource for higher education marketers, shedding light on the issues that impact them most. This year, we are excited to expand the survey’s focus to include both the not-for-profit and the for-profit sectors, to provide an even broader perspective on the market.”

Now in its third year, the survey gathers key indicators for higher education marketers, including budget trends, areas of growth, and leading challenges. Last year, with input from 293 higher education marketing professionals, CUnet and LeadsCouncil partnered to provide an insightful snapshot of marketing trends in higher education. The ensuing reports – focused on both the not-for-profit and the for-profit sectors – helped to foster a better understanding of what is happening in the industry and provided useful statistics to higher education marketing departments across the country.
