Compliance Resources

There is a broad awareness of the recent changes to the Department of Education’s regulations around Program Integrity; however, for many in the for-profit sector, there remain questions around how to adequately address those regulations. With that in mind, CUnet has created a series of brief guides and resources to help provide some clarity and industry best practices for school marketers and their admissions and recruitment teams. These guides are not exhaustive, nor are they intended to be construed as legal advice.

CUnet's Compliance Checklist

This is a list of nine things higher education institutions should consider when addressing Program Integrity Compliance.

CUnet's Guide to Misrepresentation

This guide briefly explains who is affected by the U.S. Department of Education's Misrepresentation rules, the extent to which they apply to schools and their representatives, and the implications for higher education institutions.

CUnet's Guide to Gainful Employment Disclosure

As part of the Department of Education's Gainful Employment (GE) regulations, for-profit schools must publish details about virtually every program offering. While the Department of Education has indicated that they will be providing a disclosure form that schools can use to compile this data, it is not yet available. As a result, institutions are responsible for meeting disclosure requirements using their own form in the meantime. CUnet developed this guide and worksheet to help schools better understand what is required to meet the Gainful Employment disclosure requirements.
